As a parent of a special needs child recently diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome and Obsessive Compulsive Behaviors, this book was a HUGE HUGE HELP! I started reading this book andbi could not put it down. I found myself saying, "Oh my goodness! I've been trying to say this for SO LONG!" and "Right! That's totally my son!" and "That's why he does that? It all makes sense now!!!"

As a parent of two children that have Tourette Syndrome and OCD, this book is definitely a must have. I would buy copies for every teacher they have from here on out if I thought they would read it.

Everything Susan Conners does is top notch. Get this book and look for anything else you can that is associated with her. To me she is the gold standard for how to make TS and school work.

Whether you are very familiar with Tourette Syndrome, or are just learning, this book is a helpful guide to understanding TS and some of the common accomodations that can be used in a school setting. As a teacher and someone who has Tourette herself, Ms Conners understands firsthand the daily issues people with Tourette face. Behavior checklists and sample letters for IEP's are helpful additions. Whether you are a teacher, student or administration, you will find helpful explanations and guidance.

I needed something like this to help wrap my head around what my son is going through. This helped me understand in so many ways.
