I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants not only a greater understanding of Mormonism or Catholicism, but also would like to experience an excellent form of how to discuss differing views while uniting on common beliefs.I also found interesting historical and religious information that has me excited to continue to study my own religion for greater inspiration and knowledge than I now have. Definitely a good read! I will return to it again and again.

Excellently written and very educational! A must read to educate all Catholics and Mormons on each other.

The author being a Catholic had a good understanding of Mormon doctrine and theology. There were a few places he wasn't up to speed on how things happen in the Church. I thought he presented the material in an excellent manner. I recommend this book as a very good read.

A really great book written from a really interesting perspective.

I wholeheartedly recommend this book for those wishing an honest, open discussion about Catholic and Mormon theology. What I liked is that the analysis is truly comparative of the core theological concepts of each religion and presented in such a way that was mutually respectful yet intellectually challenging. I was blown away by how closely Mormonism paralleled Catholicism on certain issues: need for extra biblical tradition, apostolic authority, the priesthood, the social trinity. Made me understand and appreciate both traditions much more than before reading.This is one of the best explanations of Mormon theology by a non Mormon I have ever read. Other authors do not present LDS theology that is recognizable to practitioners. This is THE BOOK I would recommend on this topic.It is so popular that two Catholic friends have borrowed my copy. Now I need to order a few more copies so I can keep one for myself.
